Travel Advice & Immunisation

General practice doctors play a crucial role in providing travel vaccinations and advice to individuals planning to travel internationally. Our GPs are knowledgeable about the specific vaccination requirements and health risks associated with various destinations around the world. By assessing the traveller’s itinerary, medical history, and individual health needs, our doctors can recommend and administer the appropriate vaccinations to protect against diseases such as typhoid, hepatitis A and B, Cholera, Malaria, Rabies, meningitis, Japanese Encephalitis, and other.

In addition to travel vaccinations, general practice doctors are also instrumental in promoting and administering general flu vaccinations and COVID vaccinations to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the community. These vaccines are especially important during flu season and global pandemics like the COVID-19 outbreak. Our doctors can offer guidance on the timing and importance of getting vaccinated, address concerns or misconceptions about vaccines, and ensure that individuals receive the appropriate dose based on their age, health status, and other factors.

Our doctors and nurses also administer shingles vaccination for eligible populations: whooping cough vaccination for pregnant ladies and catch-up vaccination for high school students.
