Nhung is the Practice Manager and Director of Wattle Street Medical Practice.
Nhung acquired a degree in Computer Science at the University of New South Wales in 1989.
Her career began as a computer analyst/programmer at Pioneer Concrete in Petersham, Sydney, before transitioning to a new chapter in Canberra after getting married in 1992. In the nation's capital, she worked with the Department of Parliamentary Reporting Staff at Parliament House while supporting her husband, Dr. Tran, as he completed his GP training.
In 1994, Nhung welcomed her first son into the world. Subsequently, in 1996, she played a pivotal role in establishing her husband's first clinic, Northbourne Avenue Medical Clinic in Turner in Canberra. The family expanded with the arrival of their second son in November 1999.
In early 1999, Nhung and her husband acquired the Lyneham/O'Connor Family Practice. After a year of extensive renovations, they merged the Northbourne Avenue Medical Clinic with the newly acquired practice, renaming it Wattle Street Medical Practice in January 2000.
With a growing family and business responsibilities, Nhung made the decision to resign from her IT position at Parliament House to focus on caring for her sons and contributing to the management of Wattle Street Medical Practice.
Nhung is a conscientious, dependable, dedicated, gentle, and empathetic individual. She holds a profound concern for the welfare and wellness of those around her, often demonstrating a willingness to selflessly assist others.
Nhung is deeply passionate about health prevention and collaborates with her team to promote patient education on recognizing signs and symptoms of preventable diseases. She emphasizes the importance of raising awareness to empower individuals in making informed lifestyle choices that can help mitigate health risks.
Her affection for her family and friends is evident in her desire to engage with them, offering a listening ear, support, and creating joyful moments. Nhung finds joy in reading, music, playing the guitar, expanding her knowledge, and exploring new destinations through travel.
